Homes Under the Hammer Project:

LM Builders Ltd were asked to be a part of the televisual feast known as  'Homes under the Hammer "! We were invited to take part in this popular BBC programmed in February 2008 following the purchase at auction of a semi-detached property in a rural location in North Preston. The property, a Parkinson Frame Construction did not meet current building  regulations nor satisfy mortgage lenders criteria, this resulted in a ninety per cent demolition and rebuild, progress of which was followed by BBC cameras.

Unfortunately, we are not able to link with 'flash video' to showcase our end product due to stringent copyright procedures.

This high profile project took the best part of one year to complete and became a local "talking" point due to it's ever changing appearance. At one particular stage, only a roof held up by props gave any indication that there had ever been a house on that site! During this project we were given the opportunity to extend the adjoining property next door which served to complement both properties and demonstrate the range of works that LM Builders Ltd do.

The film crew documented the whole process including the 'problems' we endured and overcame in the reconstruction of the house.
